Oct – Nov – Dec 2008

 OCTOBER 9^TH SOCK CLASS:     Thursday Evening 5:30-7pm     Want to learn to knit socks?   If so, we are teaching the Magic Loop method along with double pointed needles.    Are you stuck in the middle of the sock and need help doing the heel?     Or do you just want to Kitchner the toe together.    Then this is the class for you.      $15.

 OCTOBER 11^TH – CHRISTMAS STOCKING CLASS  (This will be a 2 part class (more if necessary)).    Saturday 10:30 – 12 noon.  Let’s get ready for the Christmas season and get a jump on knitting that “Keepsake” Christmas stocking.   In the class, you will learn to do a picot edge along with a turned-down hem and then into Intarsia!      You can select from any number of our Christmas stocking patterns.   Choose a Stocking with a Santa, or a Snowman, Toy Soldier, Angel, Christmas presents or Christmas trees  and more.   Pick your stocking and we will go from there.    You can do some  homework before the class starts.   That way, you can jump right into the juicy parts!     Come pick your pattern and yarn and we will get started.   $15 per class.   (2^nd class will be on 25 October 10:30 – 12 noon).

October 11^th – TAOS CABLE SCARF – Saturday 1 – 2:30PM   Want a special Christmas gift for a friend or loved one and learn to make multiple cables all at the same time?     We used a multi-colored yarn to make an intriguing scarf.   2 skeins makes this neat scarf.    $15.

October 22^nd – TAOS CABLE SCARF -  Wednesday 1 – 3pm   Same description as above but this class will last a bit longer.   $20.

October 23^rd – SOCK CLASS – 5:30 – 7pm  Thursday Evening 5:30-7pm     Want to learn to knit socks?  Have you been putting off making a pair?    If so, we are teaching the Magic Loop method along with double pointed needles.    Are you stuck in the middle of the sock and need help doing the heel?     Or do you just want to Kitchner the toe together.    Then this is the class for you.      $15.

October 25^th – CHRISTMAS STOCKING – PART 2  10:30 – 12 Noon   See above description for the Christmas Stocking.   By this class we will be well into the Intarsia part of your stocking making the character that you choose.  $15

 October 25^th – SERPENTINE SCARF. – 1 – 2:30pm  -  Learn to knit short rows while making a fabulous serpentine scarf.   We will use self-striping sock yarn which will make your project interesting and fun.   You can pick a hand-dyed sock yarn or self-striping with jacquard for an even more interesting pattern.     $15

 October 30^th – CIRCULAR HAT CLASS – 5:30 – 7pm  -   Let’s get ready for the snow and make a few warm hats for Christmas presents for the little kids and big kids.    You will learn “Knitting in the Round” on circular needles.    $15.

   If there are special classes that you would like to have for you or your group, please let us know your wishes.  We always offer one on one classes for you or a group of your friends.  We pick a time that is convenient for us both and go from there.  The fee for this type of class is $10/ hour per person.  We are always happy to accommodate special groups.
