It’s been quite awhile since our last newsletter and a lot has
been going on. After getting a new septic system – things
are finally getting back to normal and the piles of dirt are
disappearing and the grass is once again starting to grow –
Yeah!
Last year at this time, we announced our Schacht
Distributorship. We said “The Crickets are coming”. Well, they have been
here – Cricket Looms that is! These are excellent for novice weavers. If you
have ever wanted to weave, this is your ticket to learn. Now Schacht has made
a 5 Dent Reed for the Cricket to accommodate Chunky yarns. So if you bought a
Cricket Loom – now you can purchase a 5 Dent Reed for $26. They should be
here later this week along with FLIP LOOMS Kits!
These “FLIP LOOMS ” are an all inclusive kit! They come in
15”, 20” and 25” sizes ($235, $255 and $275 – respectively). We have started
with the 25”. A Flip Loom is portable! You can place it on a table top – it
folds up for easy storage and with a 25” Flip, you can make a woven jacket up to
Size 50”. The Flip Loom is a complete kit which includes 1 Dent Reed – the
size of your choice (5, 8, 10 or 12 Dent Reed – for use on Chunky, Worsted,
Sport/Dk, and Finger weight yarns), a Threading Hook, Warping peg, and 2
clamps. Extras for the Flip Loom are a Trestle Floor Stand - $169.00, a
storage/carry bag - $50, Flip Traps (which are nylon slings to hold your
accessories) AND a brand spanking new book that just hit the market – “Weavers

NOW FOR SOME DROOLING NEWS!!!! HPKY (HAND PAINTED
KNITTING YARNS) ARE HERE!!!!!!!! HAVE YOU SEEN THE SCARF IN A SCARF! Well,

- 100 yard skeins of Hand Painted 60% Silk and 40% Fine Merino! PLUS A 100%
Silk scarf – hand-painted to match! The pattern is included. It’s all in

you like. I am already on my 3RD one. I am also converting one

up to a whopping 2040 yards in the Worsted
weight!!! You can make gorgeous – extravagant shawl, (or 2), sweaters,

In the past 6 months, we have gotten many new yarns and our
website is continually being worked on loading our stock. In the next few
weeks, we will publish a group class schedule. In the meantime, we have been
teaching classes - one-on-one and several ‘make your own group’ classes at a
mutually agreeable time!
